MassPay to double its space at Cummings Center

BEVERLY, December 2014 - With revenue growth of 150 percent over three years, it is no surprise that MassPay has outgrown its corporate headquarters at Cummings Center. The HR & Payroll software and services provider will move from its 3,000-square-foot office at 900 Cummings Center to a 7,300-square-foot suite at 500 Cummings Center in March to keep up with that growth. Winchester Multicultural Network Receives $1 Million Cummings Foundation Grant

DECEMBER 2014 - Winchester Multicultural Network (the Network) was recently awarded a million-dollar grant through Cummings Foundation's Major Grants Program. The grant, payable over 10 years, will provide for staff and a more suitable office space, and will allow the Network to expand its programming.

Founded by Winchester resident Sandy Thompson, the 24-year-old nonprofit's mission is to promote the recognition, understanding, and appreciation of diversity; advocate for each and every person's civil rights; and confront intolerance. (More)


Cummings Properties donates $53,000 to North Shore nonprofits

The donations were made in honor of the commercial real estate firm's full-time staff members, who were each invited to select a charity to receive $1,000 through the Employee Directed Giving program. Al's Cafe to open first suburban location at TradeCenter 128 in Woburn

Well-known Boston sandwich shop and winner of a Phantom Gourmet "Steak-and-cheese Throwdown" earlier this year, Al's Cafe expects to open its fourth location at Cummings Properties' TradeCenter 128 in Woburn in mid-October.

With successful locations in Harvard Square and Boston's financial and leather districts, owner Alan "Al" Costello identified the landmark office and technology campus as the ideal location for the sub shop's first suburban location. Local restaurateur Nick Varano also chose this Woburn site for his first venture outside the city, opening Strega Prime there in summer 2013.(More)

Sage Science Expands to 12,700 SF at Cummings Center

Sage Science has increased its footprint by more than 5,000 square feet at 500 Cummings Center in Beverly. The fast-growing company, founded in 2005, develops products for the life sciences research markets.

"We are very happy that Cummings Properties was able to find a perfect space for our ever-growing research and development needs," said Heather Ketcham, vice president of Sage Sciences' corporate operations. "Cummings' leasing and design staff made the process very easy. We love our new space."

Sage recently moved to Suite 2400, the former research facility of Life Technologies, another life sciences firm that expanded and relocated elsewhere at Cummings Center. (More)

The donations were made in honor of the commercial real estate firm's full-time staff members, who selected all recipients.
