Solar Technician - Woburn

Cummings Properties is seeking an experienced solar maintenance technician to perform maintenance and installation of solar arrays on commercial office buildings.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on solar installations, ensuring system functionality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve solar system issues, including diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical components, wiring, and inverters.
  • Collaborate with engineering, and installation teams to provide technical support and ensure project success.
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to commercial solar systems
  • Use power tools and equipment to complete installations
  • Connect wiring and perform electrical work as needed
  • Perform fixture installation, including mounting brackets and racking systems
  • Connect solar panels to electrical systems, including wiring and conduit installation

Required qualifications:

  • Three years of experience preferred in solar energy, renewable energy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of solar system design, installation, and maintenance principles.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel to various job sites is required.
  • Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
