Cummings Properties is seeking an experienced solar maintenance technician to perform maintenance and installation of solar arrays on commercial office buildings.
Primary responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on solar installations, ensuring system functionality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve solar system issues, including diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical components, wiring, and inverters.
Collaborate with engineering, and installation teams to provide technical support and ensure project success.
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to commercial solar systems
Use power tools and equipment to complete installations
Connect wiring and perform electrical work as needed
Perform fixture installation, including mounting brackets and racking systems
Connect solar panels to electrical systems, including wiring and conduit installation
Required qualifications:
Three years of experience preferred in solar energy, renewable energy, or a related field.
Strong understanding of solar system design, installation, and maintenance principles.
Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel to various job sites is required.
Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
Knowledge of basic electrical principles
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
