Technical Project Architect– Woburn, MA

We are actively seeking a skilled Technical Project Architect with 3-5 years’ experience to join our Design/Build team to contribute to medium to large scale technical fit-up projects, including but not limited to laboratory, medical, food service, and precision manufacturing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead technical fit-up projects from start to finish and participate in ground-up building projects with one of the region’s most well respected and financially stable real estate firms.

Responsibilities:
Cummings Properties built-to-suit facilities are a well-known destination for a wide range of technical users. The successful candidate will work directly with prospects and our internal leasing, construction, and engineering team, to design and perform construction administration for technical, user specific spaces. Take responsibility for fit-up planning, specifications, construction documents, and construction administration. Outline and coordinate related utilities including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Assist with feasibility studies, renderings, and marketing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture (Registration not required)
  • 3 to 5 years of practical architectural design experience with emphasis on technical facility design principles, including a working knowledge of mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in the most recent versions of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • High attention to detail and an ability to generate timely, cost-effective design solutions.
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude with strong written and graphic communication skills.

About the Design Department:   Our team of architects, engineers, and designers produces a large volume of diverse projects, including new building, fit-up, and speculative property development plans. In addition to our fit-up work, current projects include large-scale site development, multi-story commercial buildings, and medium scale residential. We also plan exterior, interior, and energy retrofit renovations to existing buildings.
