Goulet of Wilmington appointed human resources manager at Cummings PropertiesWoburn, MA Cummings Properties has announced the appointment of 15-year Wilmington resident Caryn Goulet to the newly created position of human resources manager. Dennis Clarke, president and CEO of the Woburn-based commercial real estate firm, attributed the new position to the continued, gradual growth of the suburban developer whose 10 million square foot portfolio includes several major properties on Concord Street and Fordham Road in Wilmington.
A graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, Goulet holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management and Northeast Human Resources Association.
Goulets experience in human resource management spans several industries, including high-tech, physical security, manufacturing, distribution, restaurant, and hotel. During her 20-year career, she has developed expertise in HR department start-ups; performance management; employee relations; policy and handbook development; succession planning; lifecycle staffing and retention; and payroll and benefits administration.
According to Clarke, We have been very impressed with Caryn and the rich professional experience she is bringing to Cummings.
Cummings Properties, which employs more than 600 in its various entities, has never before had a professional human resource manager. Until now, Cummings treasurer or CFO has directed most personnel matters.
Goulet commented, It is obvious, upon meeting with many folks at Cummings, that the HR function has been more than adequately handled for many years. I am looking forward to the opportunity to support what is in place and add value to the HR needs of the company and its staff.
In her spare time, Goulet enjoys coaching her daughter, Danas soccer team with her husband Jim, and volunteering as a USSF official and mentor with her son, Mitch. She also serves as a volunteer coordinator for TOPSoccer, a community outreach program for children with special needs, as well as on the boards of directors for Wilmington Youth Soccer Association and Middlesex Youth Soccer League.
