TradeCenter 128 to host entrepreneurial event Friday

WOBURN, MA, October 26, 2011 – The BREW Bus will roll into TradeCenter 128 on Friday, October 28, bringing with it a wealth of entrepreneur resources, a free cookout lunch, and some exciting raffle prizes. Cummings Properties is pleased to welcome the bus for the concluding event of Boston Region Entrepreneurship Weeks (BREW). Local residents and employees are encouraged to visit the Woburn business campus between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for this unique event, which is free and open to the public.

The BREW bus, presented by Turnstone Furniture, has been touring the Boston area throughout the week, sharing resources with early stage companies. Local organizations participating on Friday include the Merrimack Valley Sandbox, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Mass Innovation Nights, and Launch, a new coworking space at TradeCenter 128.

BREW Bus visitors will enjoy a free cookout lunch of brats, hot dogs, bagged chips, sodas, and cookies, provided by Turnstone. The furniture company, which has a focus on small and emerging companies, will also hold a raffle to give away some exciting prizes, including an Apple iPad2 and several of its office furniture settings.

The event marks the end of the Make It Real Office Space Giveaway, a contest in which 10 local startups are competing for three free offices for a year, courtesy of Cummings Properties. The top three companies, as decided by online voting, are expected to be present on Friday to accept their award certificates.

Erica Wright, a Woburn native and Cummings Properties leasing manager, said, “Cummings Properties has a long history of supporting entrepreneurs, and we are delighted to partner with BREW and Turnstone to bring some valuable resources and entrepreneurial excitement to Woburn.”

Now in its second year, BREW is a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit in and around Boston. More than 70 events geared toward local startups have taken place since the festivities kicked off on October 12 with the popular Mass Innovation Nights networking event, hosted at TradeCenter 128.
