DMSE Sports returns to WoburnWOBURN, MA, February 16, 2011 With DMSE Sports, Inc.s (www.dmsesports.com) upcoming move, the international event management company will once again call Woburn home. Alan McGillivray, who handles corporate matters for DMSE, worked directly with Cummings Properties Leasing Officer Mike Truesdale to negotiate the lease for 10-D Roessler Road.
No stranger to Woburn or Cummings Properties, DMSE was headquartered at a Cummings building on Olympia Avenue in the 1990s, and leased a second property from the firm for additional storage needs. DMSE President Dave McGillivray subsequently moved the business to Middleton to be closer to home, but is looking forward to the March 1 return to Woburn.
According to Alan, The Roessler Road location, right on Route 128, is very convenient. Cummings had the combination of office and warehouse that we needed, as well as opportunities for future expansion. The 4,000 square foot space will house the companys full-time staff and its large collection of event supplies.
Founded in 1981, DMSE specializes in creating, marketing, and producing mass participatory athletic events throughout the U.S. and abroad. The firm has produced or consulted on more than 900 events, including 23 Boston Marathons and the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. DMSE will celebrate its 30th year of business with a March 12 gala at the Quincy Marriott to benefit the DMSE Childrens Fitness Foundation. Information about this major event can be found at www.dmsefoundation.org.
Having been very satisfied with their two previous leases with Cummings Properties, the McGillivrays felt comfortable working once again with the 40-year-old commercial real estate firm. Their relationship extended beyond that of property owner and client when, in 1994 through 1996, the companies collaborated to put on a successful, annual road race to benefit the Woburn Police Departments D.A.R.E. program.
Bill Cummings, founder of the commercial real estate firm, said, Were so pleased we could, once again, fulfill DMSEs space requirements. Its a pleasure for Cummings Properties to have them back in the family, and a benefit for the city to have them back in Woburn.
Cummings Properties, a full-service development, property management, and construction firm, leases and manages 10 million square feet of prime commercial space in 10 greater Boston communities. Learn more at www.cummings.com. |
