Cummings Center entices entrepreneurs with new penthouse suitesBEVERLY, MA, February 28, 2011 Already a hotbed for start-ups, Cummings Center has developed the top floor of its 100 Cummings Center building to create even more space for early-stage businesses. The former Microsoft site has been transformed into one and two office penthouse suites ranging in size from 150 to 500 square feet. With this new offering, Cummings hopes to continue its long tradition of catering to entrepreneurs seeking a prestigious address, professional environment, and client-rich community all on a scale and at a price specially designed for small businesses.
According to Cummings Center General Manager Steve Drohosky, We want to make it easy and affordable for small business owners to take their young companies to the next level. The clients who have already signed leases seem to appreciate the many on-site amenities, included utilities, and other services that typically only accompany a much larger lease.
With the suites available for occupancy March 1, five have already been claimed by a variety of businesses, including Daly Insurance, Family Psychiatric Care, Gold Coast Mortgage, Scrivener Publishing, and The Service Coach. These firms will have access to a large community conference room, as well as several neighbor to neighbor marketing opportunities available among the more than 500 on-site businesses.
The Service Coach is looking forward to making the change from house to penthouse next month. CEO Steve Teneriello said, Were excited to be joining this flourishing professional community that is so well known on the North Shore. We expect that the new address and stylish penthouse office will have a positive impact on our business.
The space, initially the cafeteria of the United Shoe Machinery Corporation, is now a delightful mix of old and new. Clients will enjoy the original Terrazzo tile flooring and scenic roof deck, alongside modern improvements, including vibrant accent walls and skylights. This incorporation of historic elements into a contemporary business environment is a hallmark of Cummings Center. The grand restoration of The Shoe to the regions largest office and technology park has been lauded by Buildings Magazine, the Boston Division of the Building Owners & Managers Association, and the Wall Street Journal.
Cummings Center is part of the Cummings Properties organization, which has a portfolio of 10 million square feet of prime commercial space in 10 communities surrounding Boston. It offers first-class, fully built out space in new and newly-renovated buildings for a variety of uses, including executive offices, medical practices, retail stores, and research laboratories.
